“Metropole Cork's split”
The Metropole Hotel Cork is a lovely historic hotel on a main street — modern updated rooms and baths with opening windows, a river-view bathtub option, a great location minutes from train and bus stations, convenient transport, and great staff. Caveats though: the full Irish breakfast arrives dry (likely heat-lamped), one room ran small with uneven floors and no fridge or kettle — called completely overpriced by a severe dissent — and a stairwell glitch occurred.
