Settha Palace Hotel is an exceptional really nice stay — a low-key French colonial building near That Dam in Vientiane's core, walkable to the night market and Mekong with Patuxai about twenty minutes, a small courtyard garden with an open-air pool and gym, a lovely pool, an amazing team with extremely attentive unbeatable service — Noy's good English came with a room upgrade — a rich breakfast, a well-stocked minibar, and a business first-choice verdict; one guest wished they could stay forever. Caveats though: in-room wifi and phone signal are weak, and the minibar runs above local rates.
