W Kuala Lumpur is a dazzling good-always stay — a strategic walkable spot near KLCC where the twin towers sit close enough to admire from the room, a luxurious artistic irregular-geometry design, a photogenic twelfth-floor pool bar, very polite thoughtful staff including Chinese speakers, prompt daily ice buckets and cleaning, a well-regarded eighth-floor restaurant, and a rich breakfast; guests will return and recommend for families. Caveats though: all-night motorbike noise is part of the street-side downtown deal — sensitive sleepers should look elsewhere — the minibar charges for even ordinary cola, and no late checkout is granted at all.
