“Amsterdam's hoxton lloyd”
A lovely stylish stay for some, The Hoxton, Amsterdam Lloyd offers a cosy well-designed room, a polite helpful check-in with an upgrade to a canal view, a big comfortable bed, a fantastic shower and a quiet not-far-from-centre feel. Dissents though: a severe basement-room report — dead bugs on the sill, live ones by the toilet and a window facing car wheels, swapped only after escalation to a bigger room with one sunken mattress — a worst-of-several-Hoxtons verdict on a narrow pillar-eaten room without cooling, dust in parts and dirty glasses.
