Charlesmark Hotel is a charming boutique in Boston's Back Bay — a perfect ten-out-of-ten location for everything, flanked by a coffee shop and restaurant/bar, easy Clarendon garage parking, early room readiness and late checkout given, a lovely morning coffee and pastry, clean comfortable rooms, and amazing friendly service (Joey praised) — a new go-to. The complaints: very small rooms — the bed sits a foot from three walls; a fridge promised on the reservation was absent; bad blinds plus 5am alley garbage trucks meant early waking; TVs date to the early 2000s; the complimentary breakfast was a soggy blueberry slice rather than the stated pastry; and it's not close to worth it for one.
