“Riu España's rooftop”
Riu Plaza España is a pretty-great fantastic stay — a very central Madrid spot right above the Plaza de España metro and opposite the main square, with Zara and Mango below, an incredible terrace rooftop view guests can visit repeatedly without queueing, great night views, a rich full-variety buffet breakfast praised as superb, clean tidy rooms, and a family-friendly feel; one guest calls it Madrid's best. Caveats though: service was called mediocre — the front desk and lobby staff seemed unfriendly to Chinese guests.
