“Duomo-view breakfast spot, hygiene flags”
Uptown Palace is a fairly new, modern Milan hotel in a quiet walkable area — a 13th-floor breakfast and restaurant overlooking the Duomo (amazing chocolate croissants, pricey but worthwhile dinner with attentive waiters), soundproof rooms with walk-in showers, and metro nearby for the Duomo. Service draws mixed notes: staff not very helpful, unclear bar hours, missed towel swaps, no complimentary water, outside works, and one severe review reporting lice and a dirty sheet — do-not-stay advice.
