A Greenwich Village treasure — Washington Square three minutes away — The Marlton Hotel is a lovely design-y stay: comfy clean rooms, a loved bar and lobby, a comfortable bed, an excellent included breakfast, recommended dinner, friendly capable staff and clean sheets with no smell. Cautions though: tiny rooms, a bathroom door that cannot fully open, luggage that will not fit open, poor soundproofing carrying neighbour showers, an old-mop bathroom smell and no window screens letting in giant flies.
