“The Ostendian's split”
The Ostendian is a very nice wonderful stay for most — a beautiful clean room with every amenity, a spot near the shops and the beach, benevolent staff, and a free check-in three hours early for one guest; one visitor even found the opposite red-light-window scene amusing to observe. Caveats though: a severe dissent booked a non-refundable two-night stay, fell ill right before the trip, and asked both the hotel and the booking site for any flexibility — rescheduling or credit — but both declined in the end.
