Staylist AI overview · based on 8 public guest reviews

“Kolbe's quiet garden Rome base”

Kolbe Hotel Rome is a very good, quiet hotel tucked off the main road — ten-to-fifteen minutes to the Colosseum and the Mouth of Truth next door, twenty minutes to Trevi, aged-but-clean interiors with high ceilings, a little garden, generous bathroom shelving, a good breakfast (the lasagna, oxtail and tiramisu at a recommended restaurant stood out — skip the strawberry pudding), helpful luggage-carrying staff and taxi-arranging. Notes: St Peter and shopping are thirty-plus minutes, front-porch construction blocks direct drop-off, bathrooms run small, tissues/water/toothbrushes weren't supplied, and one dark privacy-sealed room had many ants — some reached a toiletry bag.

Rooms: Quiet, high-ceiling rooms; ants appeared once.
Service: Warm staff helping with taxis and bags.
Location: Beside the Mouth of Truth, near Colosseum.
Food: A good breakfast; a great restaurant recommended.
Facilities: A small garden; porch construction exists.
Value: Worth the rate for a quiet Rome stay.
