“Handlery San Diego's value stay, runaround”
Handlery Hotel San Diego is a clean, good-value San Diego hotel — a great location beside the freeway and a mall, spacious tidy rooms (a lovely balcony one), a useful laundry, a small bar with poolside drinks and food, and great staff. The complaints: no lift — big luggage goes up to the second floor unassisted; not recommended for transit users; a mom's bootcamp cancellation got no flexibility; fuzzy TV; and a severe account — an end first-floor suite brought bugs on the balcony and a loud night party; the same-night swap was refused as full, and the promised next-day room was 'taken' minutes after being confirmed — the guest suspected an anti-Chinese desk, warning that first-floor and end rooms are poor while good rooms sit high.
