“Hotel Madison's campus stop”
Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Conference Ctr. is a consistent hotel near JMU — clean facilities with a pool fitness room bar restaurant and laundry (Mitch the bartender and Willa praised), a perfect walkable campus spot, and helpful staff; route-81 regulars return. Caveats though: one stay brought late-night hallway noise, a dirty carpet and scratchy sheets, another found outlet dust and shower mildew, the bar and restaurant stayed shut, so dinner came from delivery, and elevators lagged at busy times.
