Sudima Queenstown Five Mile is a new, well-maintained, modern-minimalist hotel inside the Five Mile shopping area — supermarkets, pharmacy and restaurants downstairs, a five-to-ten-minute airport drive, ample free parking that dodges the centre's dear and difficult spots, spacious bright rooms (a twin was huge), a fun buffet breakfast with make-your-own pancakes, ski-gear shopping nearby, and fantastic room views. Two complaints: a lingering odor in one room blamed on a previous guest, and a promised city-centre shuttle that did not actually exist — they had to Uber.
