“George Washington's grand dame”
The George Washington, a Wyndham Grand Hotel is a gorgeous 1924 grande dame in the historic district — spacious incredibly-quiet rooms with extraordinary beds, fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs and multi-jet showers, a stunning marble lobby and jazz-inspired Half Note bar, a unique statue-columned pool, a hot tub and weight room, live music, an adjacent garage, and the walking mall two blocks away. Caveats though: breakfast is not included, and a booking call hit Jolene, an off-putting automated phone agent.
