The St. Regis Shenzhen Bao'an is a 2025 tower blending old-money New York style with minimal Eastern touches — huge zoned rooms, a photogenic 35th-floor lobby and Chinese-restaurant balcony overlooking the bay's night lights, beside the government plaza and Uniwalk mall. Butlers are called thoughtful and staff warm. But one detailed stay went badly: a bathroom floor littered with prior guests' hair, damp pillows, a restaurant that made waiting guests feel misled about bookings, a coupon dish claimed sold out, ignored messages until the platform intervened, and a parking fee wrongly charged. Breakfast also ran mediocre once.
