The St. Regis Toronto sits superbly downtown near the Eaton Centre — butler-style service, exceptional check-in guidance, friendly helpful staff and an amazing rooftop restaurant with great views and dishes. But the tower is older, and dated room facilities surfaced badly for one guest: a TV that would not play after thirty minutes of fiddling, then screen failure — and when they requested checkout and refund, the supervisor refused, charging a full night; the booking platform ultimately compensated half. Marijuana smell also drew complaint, and convenience stores nearby are scarce and close early.
