“Library Hotel's bookish Midtown nook”
Library Hotel by Library Hotel Collection is a fun, literary-themed Midtown stay at 41st and Madison — Bryant Park, the public library, Grand Central and Fifth Avenue shopping all a block-ish away, a doorman, a quiet second-floor lounge with free snacks, beverages and fruit, cozy typical-NY-small rooms and a rooftop terrace. Notes: aging facilities mean weak shower pressure, a pillow smelled, nearby renovation hid an entrance making it hard to find, one guest found the room's book selection too political for the theme, and the rooftop bar enforces a dress code — disappointing after a full sightseeing day. Two management replies appear.
