The Kendall Hotel at the Engine 7 Firehouse is a characterful Cambridge stay inside MIT's orbit — the metro entrance roughly fifty metres away, the MIT museum beside it, and former-firehouse atmosphere guests love. Very friendly front-desk staff, day-one fruit, deposit-free umbrella loans and a sufficient breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon, breads and fruit (identical across five days) make for super good experiences. One guest dissented sharply on billing — taxes and fees deducted at more than double, called unclear — and would not return.
