“The Trail's bourbon”
The Trail Hotel is a nice thoroughly-enjoyed stay — tastefully-redone rooms keeping the bourbon-trail styling, a nice onsite restaurant and bar serving a good meal and great cocktails, a large pool, a nicely-decorated patio, a great hot tub, awesome staff, and a quiet spot just out of town for an easy drive or taxi into downtown Bardstown. Caveats though: room access is awkward to reach with lots of luggage; a checkout surprise was a fifteen-per-day charge described as state tax and amenities; one room needed weather stripping as storm wind whistled in all night and the electronic shade would not move; and a big black spider on the headboard unsettled one guest.
