“Adriatico's station perch”
Grand Hotel Adriatico is a satisfying Florence stay — big cozy renovated rooms that fit two open suitcases, excellent bathrooms, strong air conditioning, two free drinks at check-in, a yummy daily breakfast, a quiet spot five-to-ten minutes from Santa Maria Novella station, and enthusiastic wonderful staff; the modern interiors exceed the photos. Caveats though: some facilities still read dated, breakfast is ordinary to some, and the minibar carries no rate card — the desk confirmed it is charged.
