“Ponte Vecchio art stay, terrace luck”
Gallery Hotel Art - Lungarno Collection is an artistic boutique right in front of Ponte Vecchio — walkable to every major sight, security-reassuring door staff, classic-retro rooms that are smallish but fully equipped and clean, some with lovely terraces, and a small pretty restaurant serving excellent black tea. Staff are warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful — a solo traveller felt safe throughout. Loyalty pays: a sixth-or-seventh Lungarno stay brought a surprise penthouse-suite upgrade with a huge terrace. Breakfast choice is on the slimmer side.
