“The Goodwin's faded glory”
The Goodwin is a unique well-decorated Hartford hotel — nice clean rooms with comfortable king beds, a great walkable location near restaurants and entertainment, a wedding venue that lets parties stay on site, and wonderful valets. Caveats though: a severe pan calls it a shell of its former self — a Sunday-Monday-closed bar, a worse-than-budget breakfast, zero amenities, a refused one-hour late checkout, and useless non-valet staff — plus a dead elevator, a thirty-minute sofa-bed linen wait, and a seventy-eight-degree room.
