Walkable to the Arima Onsen street with a shuttle to the JR station, Kamenoi Hotel Arima is a great very new stay for many: a great kaiseki dinner, an amazing gold-spring onsen, a spacious clean room, patient detailed polite service and mountain-hike scenery. One severe dissent though: a tiny onsen with uncomfortable step heights, thin dinner portions with few paid extras, Japanese-only staff beyond the desk, uncomfortably thick duvets and flat pillows causing a stiff neck and morning construction noise at eight thirty.
