“Bayard's antique square”
Bayard Bellecour is a special quirky Lyon hotel — clean enchanting rooms (one overlooked the main square) full of antiques, pictures, and memorabilia, a many-choice breakfast in a quaint historic setting worth the splurge, a perfect walkable location twenty-five minutes from Part Dieux, and welcoming helpful staff. Caveats though: no elevator reaches the first-floor reception, one room lacked a television and a swap took heavy insistence, there is no parking (a garage charges about twenty-five euros), and rooms run small.
