“Celeste's convent charm”
Celeste of St Paul is a unique exceptional stay — a former convent whose palpable past is handled with tasteful whimsy, wonderfully-preserved architecture and stained glass alongside modern conveniences, a tasty breakfast served in the chapel dining room (soy milk delighted one guest), a walk-everywhere downtown St Paul location, updated rooms that are each a little different with very comfortable beds and pillows, and views of two churches, the light rail and the state capital; nice helpful staff. Caveats though: the nearby parking lot overcharged one guest beyond its posted rate.
