“Lakeside Luzern grande, uneven follow-through”
Grand Hotel National Luzern is a historic five-star on the lake where many guests report friendly staff, a great location, a lively bar and little luxuries like a stocked minibar and bedtime chocolate; lake-view rooms and the breakfast draw particular praise. Two recent reviews are sharply critical, though: one guest was given a second-floor room with a poor view and weak Wi-Fi above a noisy outdoor bar, plus a bathtub that would not drain; another had luggage delivered to the wrong room, waited half an hour, met an impatient front desk and never received the replacement hairdryer they requested. Room choice and service follow-through seem uneven.
