“Fasano's Ipanema stunner, beach caveat”
Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro is a trendy boutique right on Ipanema Beach — a staffed beach area with chairs and parasols, a stunning rooftop pool with 270-degree beach and sunset views, a fantastic breakfast, the Gero restaurant, unbeatable room and pool views, and five-star personable staff who anticipate needs — reception's Letitia gets a special mention, one team bought repellent for guests, and a room-category mix-up was handled exceptionally. Cautions: the beach area at Ipanema's start is not the safest or cleanest (per a ten-year Rio resident), and one guest was blocked from beach access until hotel staff intervened.
