The Kayon Resort(Adult Only) is a hidden-gem forest hideaway outside Ubud — spacious white high-ceilinged rooms with waterfall sounds and views (villas four and five sit beside the falls), a deep pleasant pool plus free shuttle-and-use of the sister Jungle Resort's beds, an excellent Balinese Kepitu dinner with live music and dance shows, balcony afternoon tea, few mosquitoes, and very friendly staff. Caveats though: standard rooms share only the too-sunny center pool, which sits awkwardly under the dining room's view, and a same-day check-in confused the greeter.
