Hotel Tugu Bali is a gorgeous magnificent stay — a beautiful Balinese-luxury property in the most convenient part of Canggu, near the ocean and the centre of the club-and-bar nightlife, big villas some set under tree crowns on a second floor, a good breakfast that can be eaten anywhere including the garden, housekeeping that tidies while guests dine, a free four-to-six tea break, and kind very obliging welcoming staff who go above and beyond. Caveats though: one villa's bathtub drained very slowly.
