“Hotel Catedral's square”
Hotel Barcelona Catedral is a convenient clean stay for many — beside the cathedral with a lively square, great transit access, English-speaking professional courteous staff, tidy comfortable soundproofed rooms, and quiet nights. Caveats though are serious: one guest reports no way to add a bed for a child so a second room was required, a dismissive manager who would not explain, a cold ungreeting front desk that felt discriminatory compared with how Western guests were treated, a promised taxi booking where the clerk simply vanished, a lingering paint smell from renovation, and only taxis reaching the door.
