“Plaza Mayor's bites”
B&B Hotel Madrid Centro Plaza Mayor is an excellent-value stay for most — a corner spot behind Plaza Mayor five-to-ten minutes from the metro, luggage storage, a breakfast bag hung on the door early, a free tea-and-coffee rest area with fruit and biscuits, a desk agent who carried bags to the lift over an eight-night stay, great daily cleaning, and supermarkets and restaurants all near Sol. Caveats though are serious: there is no lift to reach the basement level so big suitcases mean hauling stairs, wifi ran very poor, and one guest reported waking with a row of bites consistent with bedbugs.
