Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel by Marriott is a lux-look stay with caveats — clean spacious rooms in the centre of Siam near the Erawan Shrine and convenient to Pratunam shopping, a comfy bed, a loved soaking bathtub after a day out, good ambiance, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast. Caveats though are serious: efficiency ran very low — over an hour to check in plus thirty minutes waiting for a room until half past four — and one severe report found a cockroach in the room with no real resolution beyond an apology, and the promised deep clean never really happened.
