Well placed for the wider area, DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Del Mar earns outstanding-staff quiet marks for many: a kind helpful desk, happy-with cleanliness, a pleasant stay and a complete tidy room. Dissents though carry weight: three viewed rooms all had faults — taps cooling toilet — with a vanished repairman before resolution and breakfast vouchers, an incredibly loud air conditioner, a rude receptionist, a refused cash deposit and a terrible lobby-bar drink.
