“Copacabana's split verdict”
Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana is a very nice second-stay stay — a prime spot fronting Copacabana Beach and sitting very close to Ipanema, a very spacious room, good facilities, very friendly staff, excellent food and cleanliness, and a good breakfast; guests will go back. Caveats though: one dissent found the service average — ordered cappuccinos repeatedly never arrived — and windows are badly insulated so room noise is a real problem that went unresolved after reporting.
