“Glorious palazzo, one rough stay”

Set in a centuries-old palazzo reachable directly by water taxi, this hotel wins over most guests: rooms described as huge and glorious with ceiling paintings, marble and mosaic floors, some with magnificent terraces, plus a rich breakfast buffet, friendly front desk and a quiet spot a short walk from Rialto and St Mark's. One guest's experience was far worse, though: a booking for three was registered for two, fittings were broken, and the air conditioning failed property-wide overnight, with no refund offered when they left early — a caution alongside the praise.

Rooms: Huge glorious rooms; broken fittings once.
Service: Friendly desk; an unrefunded AC failure.
Food: A rich breakfast buffet is served.
Location: Quiet spot walkable to Rialto, St Mark's.
Facilities: Direct water-taxi access to the palazzo.
