“Hotel du Vin's St Andrews perch”
Hotel du Vin, St Andrews is a lovely cosy stay — clean very nice big rooms (one in pale Tiffany tones, fittings slightly aged), a good breakfast, a perfect excellent seaside location beside the university path, a short walk to the Old Course and South Street and opposite the beach for a morning cold-water swim, quiet comfortable surroundings, and warm welcoming above-and-beyond staff — the team even offered to move staff cars for a disabled guest, with polite effective bar staff and patient reception. No material complaints appeared.
