“Santa Monica's quaint stay”
In a nice residential neighbourhood — a beloved bakery-cafe and an excellent yoga studio across the street, the pier a five-to-ten-minute drive and the promenade fifteen-to-twenty on foot — The Ambrose Hotel is a quaint quiet boutique: a nice comfortable room, very helpful staff, a happy hour with a complimentary glass of wine, a courtesy car and bicycles for getting around. A serious dissent though: at three-fifty a night it wasn't worth it, about twenty blocks from the ocean with constant street noise and terrible soundproofing that passed everything, and one guest felt the staff needed more experience.
