Right on the seafront with amazing Mediterranean scenery, Eurostars Hotel Excelsior is a very historical fancy perfect-for-classic-lovers stay: a fine high-end old-money lobby and public areas, a rooftop breakfast with beautiful sea views, friendly easy-talking desk staff and a worthwhile sea-view upgrade. Cautions: rooms run smaller and equipment dated — balcony cushions held rainwater, a tap dripped all night — construction was underway, no on-site parking , a valet collects keys for private garages , a so-so patio dinner, and not-that-great staff per one.
