“Songdo's holiday inn”
On a high floor above Central Park with river, lake and sea views — a metro underpass straight to the door, convenience stores and late-night dining around — Holiday Inn Incheon Songdo by IHG is a top-of-the-chain stay for many: remarkably-clean spacious rooms, incredible views, a good-variety breakfast and above-and-beyond reception staff who booked local restaurants. Cautions: not as airport-close as assumed, a thirty-five-to-forty-five-minute taxi, Incheon being a separate city from Seoul, plus aging room fittings, a leaking washbasin flooding the floor and shampoo running out mid-shower.
