A convenient walk-to-the-bay spot, The US Grant, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Diego is a loved-it excellent stay: a spacious luxury-designed room with a private rear bathroom and very comfy bedding, a wide sofa-filled comfortable lobby, nice staff and instant service — a slipper request delivered right away. A dissent though: a promised ready-room text never came, a third-floor room smelled strong and lacked the pictured tub — a change took repeated requests , rated middling value; plus the lobby coffee dispenser sat empty.
