“Mitte's riverside stay”
A metro stop from the Hauptbahnhof with easy airport access facing the river, Leonardo Hotel Berlin Mitte is a very good modern stay: clean quiet rooms that are big by European standards with a kettle — one honeymooner loved their balcony and view — welcoming good desk service that's Chinese-friendly, new facilities, decent variety breakfast and a safe good neighbourhood. One note: service ranges warm to average by staffer.
