“Park-view Rome classic, tip friction”
Hotel Splendide Royal - the Leading Hotels of the World pleases most guests as a charming, authentic Rome hotel with incredible views — several mention a spacious, quiet room overlooking the park and breakfast served with the same outlook. Staff are called professional and welcoming, with one employee praised for maps and tips and a small wedding surprise mentioned. Two criticisms stand out: two reviewers disliked tips being suggested at payment, one reporting a nightly service charge that could be removed only if challenged, and that guest also found the breakfast, amenities and tiny elevator below the level expected at this rate.
