“Exemplary Gion hospitality”
Imperial Hotel Kyoto holds a perfect score across its early reviews. Guests place it in Gion — an atmospheric historic building that stays quiet amid the bustle, with sights easy to reach — and praise the service as the highlight: courteous, detailed and never intrusive, with one reviewer upgraded to a better room and calling it the essence of Japanese hospitality.
