“Classic Zurich grande, deposit wrinkle”
Baur au Lac is described as one of Zurich's classic luxury addresses — beautiful, with a garden full of art pieces, a top location and staff called extremely helpful and friendly; one long-time guest on a third stay noted refreshed restaurant furniture, breakfast and outdoor seating. The praise is not universal: one reviewer found nights loud because of cars, and another reported a two-hundred-franc deposit still not returned to their card, calling it an administrative disconnect.
