“Colombina's San Marco-adjacent charm”
Hotel Colombina is an excellent Venice hotel about three minutes from San Marco — a lovely well-maintained building, comfortable beds with good linen, a big bathroom, minibar plus a welcome treat, a superb-quality breakfast, kind careful staff who arrange airport water taxis, a canal-side door with a glimpse of the Bridge of Sighs, and restaurants and shopping steps away. Two notes: air conditioning stays off until June, so open windows invited mosquitoes that woke guests, and tourist-season rates run high.
