Ka Lai Waikiki Beach, LXR is a nicely-maintained renovated favorite — spacious suites with kitchens, double vanities and Byredo amenities, unbeatable ocean-view balconies facing the Friday fireworks, a fifty-dollar daily resort credit, upgrades, birthday cake surprises (Takako praised), champagne for a 40th anniversary, and lovely quick staff. Caveats though: a strict four-pm check-in left a family waiting outside without an indoor area, and the TVs lack guest streaming connectivity.
