Oceana Santa Monica, LXR Hotels & Resorts is a beautiful Santa Monica hotel right across from the water — spacious incredibly-comfortable rooms with high-quality linens and plush carpets, daily cleaning, delicious in-room dining, a well-decorated property, and superb kind staff; one guest compared the value to a Four Seasons and wanted to keep it secret. Two severe dissents: loud noise with a promised sea view that wasn't delivered — a rate mismatch; and no service — a poorly-skilled front desk below three-star level, night-long leak sounds and bad insulation. A bathtub was wished for.
