18 Micon STR. is a beautiful little boutique stay — a small complete guesthouse in the Acropolis-foot core with bars and restaurants on the doorstep, clean well-equipped rooms (a top-floor superior offered loungers on a small balcony over the lively lanes, and the refined suite sports a vintage red-brick vanity), a simple tasty breakfast of breads, eggs, yogurt, fruit and cheese, walkable sights from Hadrian's Library to the flea market, and attentive go-out-of-their-way staff who packed breakfast for an early-activity morning. Caveats though: the bar across the lane partied until two-thirty — pack earplugs if sleep matters.
