“WWII-museum neighbour, service misfires”
The Higgins Hotel is a beautiful, memorial-themed Curio property directly across from the WWII Museum — big clean rooms with pretty retro decor, several restaurants and seating areas, unique cocktails and beignets, a ten-minute walk to the convention centre, and genuinely friendly enthusiastic staff. One stay went wrong everywhere though: a wrongful charge at check-in, housekeeping skipped two days running despite requests, a forced room move, sloppy re-cleaning, standing water in the bathroom, a parking key card broken through ten contacts, and a promised credit that vanished at checkout; only two water bottles per stay.
