Near everywhere in a perfect location, China World Hotel, Beijing, A Shangri-La Hotel is a great five-star stay for most: an upgraded large comfortable room, impeccable hygiene, first-class everywhere-thinking service, substantial excellent club-lounge tea service and evening drinks with hot dishes, new facilities and a nice dinner — a Beijing rebook for some. A severe dissent though: a plain ordinary room, brand-markup feel, dear parking, an unworth-it breakfast, a dismissive lobby water refusal for the crew a connecting-door room that scared one guest and promised welcome fruit that needed chasing a won't-return verdict.
